878 miles Via 90A / 90 and the wonderful Texas Hill Country roads |
I finally reached Lost Maples around 10 am. After paying my entry fee, I proceeded to the general parking area, where I got off the scoot and hiked until I reached a point the path borders a creek. In that area the creek divides into two, only to later rejoin itself, forming a small island of white pebbles and rocks. On the way back, I came across the scene depicted in the third picture just below. A great boulder, cracked and split by a mighty tree. This made me reflect on the power of God and the great Love that He has for us. Just like this rock, where a very small seed landed on a small crack, to grow strong and mighty, cracking with its gentle power, what no human hand can do unaided, so will the Love of God grow in our lives, breaking away the hardness of our lives and sin, like no human hand can ever do. |
