Balam’s Hot Toddy with Rye Whiskey

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Spirit Rye
  • 3 oz Boiling Water
  • .5 oz Lemon Juice
  • .75 oz Agave Nectar
  • Lemon peel for Garnish
  • Star Anise
  • Whole cloves

Steps

  • Boil the water and heat mug with it.
  • Once mug is hot, pour out water.
  • Pour boiling water, rye whiskey, lemon juice and agave nectar into mug.
  • Poke 5 hole in lemon peel and insert 5 cloves
  • Twist lemon peel + cloves over drink and drop it in
  • Float star anise on drink and stir.
