Houston - New Braunfels - Wimberly - Buda - Gonzales - Shiner - Houston; and some points in between
|
From Gonzales it was back onto 90-A to Shiner, Halletsville and Eagle Lake, and then on to Houston via 90-A and later 59. Another layer of paint for this final route. Thankfully I made it home without rain and without incidents, thankful to God for all the blessings of this trip, including, and most importantly, the hospitality and generosity of friends, along with the biggest gift of all, His Love for us. The trip did end with my odometer at 2222, which for some Guatemalan 'beisbol' fans from the last century should remind them of one of our favorite commentators who called this combo "The Duckies of Death", "dos bolas, dos estraics, dos auts". Two balls, two strikes, two outs. You are out! |
