  • Lone Star Motorcycle Museum
I left Lost Maples around noon that day.  Sure enough I came across the Lone Star motorcycle Museum.  They were holding some kind of rally that day, for a group called '4 Stroke Singles'. 'Mmm', I thought to myself,  'I guess I will chose to interpret this as meaning that these are a bunch of guys who have survived some sort of aneurism four times in a row and have remained unmarried for all the while.'

  • Got what it takes?
This was actually quite a bit of fun.  These are not the kind of bikes I typically come across at other motorcycle gatherings.  I was especially happy to see a bunch of KLR650s, since I have been reading  Glen Heggstad's wonderful and amazing account  of his trip to South America on one of these Kawis.  The gladiator poster made me think of my Prayer Warrior Brothers, trying to figure out how many of us would take the job of the guy on the right.

  • The Duke
The left and center photos were taken with my hermano Don in mind.  I am hoping they will provide inspiration for future project for this more-conservative-than-I cruising brother.  The Duc on the right is meant to be a reminder of the foot print that was left in my life last summer, when I test-drove an ST4 in Omaha, and got infected with the Red Italian Virus.
